Well look at that. The 2001 Newties have been announced and not only was the Newted Community runner-up in the Best Overall Web Site category behind Victor Rehorst’s indescribably useful United Network of Newton Archives, but we snagged an honorable mention for the Best FTP Archive. Wow. Imagine what would happen if I actual spent some time organizing that tangled pile of spaghetti into something that even vaguely resembled a proper file archive. At any rate, I’m quite pleased with those two Newtie rankings, seeing as this site didn’t even show up as a finalist last year. It certainly doesn’t match the thrill of winning Favorite Newton Web Site back in 1999, but hey, we’re still on the road to recovery here. Thanks to everyone who voted for the Newted Community in this years Newties. Your support is certainly appreciated.
